Clothing for the ones who never fit in

Wasted Monkey started in a cramped Chennai studio with one screen-printing frame, a bucket of ink, and a grudge.

The grudge was simple: Indian clothing deserved better. Better than watered-down copies of Western brands, better than fast-fashion blanks with lazy prints, better than paying import markups for someone else's culture.

So we built our own thing — an independent clothing brand, not a T-shirt label. We're starting with heavyweight 220–240 GSM combed cotton tees that survive Indian summers and Indian washing machines, with graphics that are loud, funny, and slightly unhinged. Drawn in-house, screen-printed by hand, released in small drops that never restock. Hoodies, jackets, socks, slides and more are already on the drawing board.

The monkey? That's the voice in your head telling you to quit the job you hate, dye your hair, start the thing. We just put it on a tee — for now.

No investors. No focus groups. No chill.
